Arc needs you!

On Friday 15 April, 2016, we launched our first ever Kickstarter campaign. We want to publish a new translation by the highly respected poet and translator, Timothy Adès, of the selected poems of Robert Desnos, French surrealist poet of the early twentieth century. For the first time, anglophone readers will be able to read this highly inventive, witty, sometimes scandalous and often tenderly romantic poet in rhyme and metre - a feat of translation that bears testimony to Timothy Adès' skill.
This is a leap into the unknown for us, an experiment with a new way to fund the publication of a book which we could never achieve on our own, and we are extremely happy and proud to say that we are over halfway towards our goal within just 4 days. Thanks to the generosity of our friends and supporters, we have seen a response we never dreamed of. We are humbled by the success of this campaign so far. Thank you all!
