Budding translators, old hands, new hands, academics, and students. Hello, hello, it's a pleasure to meet you! Are you often in the mood for discussions, arguments, learning and collaboration? With our new Translators' Forum we hope to provide the spark, but we need you Arc Devotees to create a (metaphorical) fire, so (with caution) please feel free to showcase your flames of knowledge.
As I'm sure you're already aware, Arc Publications has been publishing poetry in translation for over 40 years, and it has always been our mission to make translation a visible and respected part of the literary world.
Open and free to all, the forum is specifically designed to host discussions relating to the translation of literature, with a particular (but not exclusive) emphasis on poetry. It allows members to discuss translation problems and projects, get help with specific or general queries, and to talk about the industry and the ethics of literary translation.
So go ahead, jump right in! Let's foster the art of translation together.
