The Sofa Book

Containing sundry remarks and observations composed for the most part as the author reclined upon his sofa near the sea, the title page explains, and the back cover elucidates further: Begun as finger-exercises, an attempt to work within fixed and small compass, these 5-liners became an obsession for a year or so.

Paul Evans's poems are irreverent and bitingly satirical as he takes swipes in every direction at the political great and good, and Peter Wilson's beautiful line drawings are no less trenchant. A wonderful synthesis.

Limited edition of 500 copies, the first 12 of which are signed and numbered. Published by Arc Publications, Todmorden and designed and printed by Tony Ward at the Arc & Throstle Press. Grey dustwrapper with drawing over light green paper cover. 18 x 15.5 cms.
