Azniv Sahakyan Armenia

Azniv Sahakyan was born in 1959 in Yerevan and studied philology at Yerevan State University. Her first poem was published in 1986 in Literary Weekly since when she has been published regularly in the literary press, including in the Garoun and Nork journals. She has been a member of the Writers' Union of Armenia since 1995.

She has published four collections of poetry: Back Door (2011), Communion Wafer (2001), Respiration (1996) and Meteorite (1990). Her poems have been translated into English and Swedish.
