Denise Blake USA

Denise Blake was born in Ohio, USA, in 1958, but moved to Ireland in 1969 where she grew up in Letterkenny, Co Donegal. A founder member of Errigal Writers' Group, she received an MA in poetry from Lancaster University / Poets' House and her first collection Take a Deep Breath came out with Summer Palace Press in 2004. Her poems have been published in a wide variety of journals, as have her translations of Cathal Ó Searcaigh's work. She has also read at a number of literary festivals in Ireland.
