Ewa Chruściel Poland

Ewa Chruściel is a poet, critic and translator. She holds a PhD in literature from ISU and an MA from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. She writes both in Polish and English. Her first book in Polish was published in 2003 by Studium and her second book is forthcoming in 2009. Her first book of poems in English is currently with Graywolf. Her poems have appeared in Polish, Italian and American journals including, in Poland: Studium, Zeszyty Literackie and Topos; in the USA, Boston Review (poet's sampler), Spoon River Review, The Pebble Lake Review, XCP: Streetnotes and Colorado Review; and in Italy, Clan Destino and Il Giornale. Her translations of poetry have appeared in Poetry Wales, The Chicago Review, Lyric and in the anthology Carnivorous Boy Carnivorous Bird. She has also translated four books from Polish to English. She is a professor at Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire, USA.
