“A meeting point for poets of all latitudes”
— Víctor Rodríguez Núñez

Frank Sewell Ireland

Frank Sewell was born in 1968, studied English and Russian at the University of Belfast, then Irish poetry (both in Irish and in English) at the University of Ulster, where he now works as a lecturer in Irish Literature and Creative Writing. His own writing (mostly in English, but occasionally in Irish), includes songs, poems, short stories, translations (from several languages) and literary criticism; his poems have appeared in a number of anthologies and in many journals. He has translated full-length collections of poetry by Cathal Ó Searcaigh (Cló Iar-Chonnachta, 1998) and (with Mitsuko Ohno) Mutsuo Takahashi (Daedelus, 2006), and was formerly Irish language editor of the Honest Ulsterman.
