Peter Oram UK

Peter Oram (1947-2019) was born in Cardiff in 1947. He held first class honour degrees in Modern Languages (Cardiff) and Music (Aberystwyth) and an M.Mus in composition.

His publications include the novels Maddocks (Gomer Press, 1998), and The Rub (Starborn Books, 2001), a collection of poems by Russian poets on Russian poets, The Page and the Fire, translated from the Russian (Arc, 2007), three volumes of Rilke’s French poetry in English translation, and two volumes of poetry, White and Tease it Free (Starborn, 2001 and 2012). His poems and short stories appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies.

Peter Oram lived in London, in Spain and, for many years, in Pembrokeshire, but from 2001, lived in Southern Germany. He died in 2019.
