Pippa Little
Pippa Little is a Scot born in Tanzania who lives in Northumberland. Publications include The Spar Box (Vane Women), a PBS Choice, Foray (Biscuit Press), The Snow Globe (Red Squirrel), Our Lady of Iguanas (Black Light Engine Room) and Overwintering (Carcanet Oxford Poets), shortlisted for The Seamus Heaney Centre Prize.
Her work has appeared in UK, American and Australian magazines (TLS, Poetry Review, Magma, Ambit, MsLexia) in many anthologies and online, on radio and on film. Collaborative work includes Poetics of the Archive, ColmCille's Spiral (Antiphonal), Conversations Across Borders and The Written Image (Scottish Poetry Library / Northern Printmakers). She has read at StAnza, Edinburgh, Wigtown and Durham festivals and in poetry venues in the UK, Eire and Mexico City.
She reviews poetry and has co-edited two Virago anthologies. She gives workshops and takes writing weekends. A member of PEN, she has been an Open University tutor and literacy development worker and, at the time of publication, is a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Newcastle University.
