50 years at the cutting edge of poetry publishing

“A meeting point for poets of all latitudes”
— Víctor Rodríguez Núñez

Tomaž Šalamun Slovenia

Tomaž Šalamun is one of the most widely know poets of eastern Europe. Born in Zagreb, Croatia, he was an art historian and conceptual artist before shifting to poetry. For some years he was the Slovenian cultural attache in New York. He now lives in Ljubljana, and travels frequently throughout the world giving poetry readings. He is a friend to many American poets, especially those of an experimental persuasion, and is probably the most cosmopolitan poet in Europe.
