Royal College of Music

Liam Cartwright was born in 1984 in Worcestershire, where he studied organ with Trevor Tipple, holding the position of organ scholar at the Church of St. Martin with St. Peter, Worcester, from 2001-2003. He is now frequently invited to play at some of London's most prestigious churches, and currently holds the position of organ scholar at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Farm Street, Mayfair. An award winner at the 2004 Royal College of Organists National Performance Festival, Liam is in demand as a recitalist, with recent concerts having taken him throughout the United Kingdom, including appearances at the Three Choirs and Edinburgh Festivals. Liam has undertaken masterclasses with Thomas Trotter and Dame Gillian Weir in London, and with Eric Lebrun and Daniel Roth in Paris, where he has played many of the famous instruments. He currently studies at the Royal College of Music, London, where he is a long term student of Margaret Phillips.
