The Latin Big Band

The Latin Big Band is an exciting new ensemble at the Leeds College of Music. Directed by Omar Puente, the Band is building on the wide popularlity of Latin jazz and world music. Born and raised in Cuba, Omar was trained in Havana and is now internationally known as a top performer and expert in Cuban-influenced Latin music.

The ensemble play repertoire in classic Latin styles such as mambo and cha-cha.
