[Sentica Piano Trio]

The Sentica Piano Trio was first established in 1999 at the Welsh College of Music and Drama. It has participated in several masterclasses with notable musicians such as Sharon McKinley, Julian Jacobson, Richard McMahon, Beate Popperwell, Dona Lee Croft, Krisztof Smietana and members of the Eroica Quartet, Schidloff Quartet, Angell Piano Trio and Gould Piano Trio.

They have given performances in many venues in Wales and the West Country, including one on H.M.S. Cambria for Princess Anne. In April 2001 they toured Colombia and Venezuela, giving the South American premiere of John Metcalf’s Rest in Reason, Move in Passion. In June 2001 they gave a series of recitals in various Portuguese cities. The members of the Sentica Piano Trio have recently been appointed Junior Fellows in Chamber Music at the Welsh College of Music and Drama.
