A chance to hear a highly-acclaimed young pianist talk about the contemporary piano repertoire and address such questions as:
Drawing on contemporary works in her recital programme and also on George Crumb's Makrokosmos, Kate Dixon takes us through what appear to be pieces of enormous complexity which, when deconstructed are playable by a pianist of Grade VI standard.
There will be a break for refreshments at 6.15pm before the pre-concert talk at 6.30pm and the recital at 7.30pm.
