Fiona Scott was born in Preston, Lancashire. She is currently in her first year postgraduate at the RNCM, studying with Mary Brennan after gaining her BMus (Hons) at the college.
Before entering the RNCM Fiona was a member of Preston Opera, taking roles in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore and Verdi's Il Trovatore. Her chorus experience includes Tchaikovsky's The Queen of Spades at the RNCM and Handel's Julius Caesar at the Yorke Trust in Norfolk. Fiona has understudied and performed the role of Mrs Grose in Britten's The Turn of the Screw for the College. Operatic excepts include the role of Marenka in Smetana's The Bartered Bride. She recently performed in a premiere of a new music theatre work, Exit, by Ailís ní Ríain and the European premiere of Bramwell Tovey's Requiem. Recent engagements include various opera galas, Mozart's Exultate Jubilate, Handel's Messiah and Rossini's Stabat Mater.
Fiona is a recipient of the Dame Eva Turner Award. She appears by kind permission of the Principal, RNCM.
